Earlier, the prime minister hit out at the Green Party leader after he reshared a post on social media which criticised the conduct of officers while arresting a suspect in the Golders Green attack.
Polanski later apologised, following criticism from Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley.
Starmer described the resharing of the post as \"disgraceful\" and said the Green Party leader was \"not fit\" to lead a political party.
Responding to the comments, Polanski wrote in a post on X: \"Yesterday, in Hastings, in the wake of antisemitic attacks in Golders Green, I faced Nazi salutes.
\"Today the prime minister uses his office to attack the only Jewish party leader to score political points.\"
The Liberal Democrats have criticised Zack Polanski over his apology following a row about his resharing of criticism of police involved in the Golders Green arrest.
The party's home affairs spokesperson Max Wilkinson MP accused the Green Party leader of making a \"cynical non-apology\" with his statement.
\"It says a lot that when everyone else has been standing in solidarity with the victims and the Jewish community as a whole, his instinct was to attack the police officers who are keeping us safe,\" he added.
\"Polanski should, in unambiguous terms, disown the content of the ridiculous statement he shared.\"

He rejected that this could see Met commissioners entering into politics more in future, saying: \"This is about an operational matter. He has stepped into operational policing with his criticism and his inaccuracies. And I need to put that straight.\"
